Publisher’s description

Woolworths is one of the largest textiles and food retailers in South Africa. Woolworths' Food Supply Chain addressed three key problems: Low in-store product availability, high levels of product waste and high volume of stock ledger discrepancies. Accenture helped Woolworths develop a highly integrated Food Supply Chain Programme comprising a number of core functional projects, as well as cross-programme supporting projects. The solution re-engineered the supply chain, improved stock availability and decreased waste.
